Dear Sir or Madam
Water Damage Claim
Some several months ago, I discovered a water leak in my mother’s house. Water had been dripping from a concealed pipe supplying the washing machine. The leak had remained undetected for a long time, damaging most of the kitchen units, the flooring and carpet in the kitchen and staining the wall in an adjacent room.
Her insurance company processed a claim, and passed on to your company the task of making good the damage.
My mother is 87 years old, and quite frail. Like many elderlky people, she dislikes disruption and viewed the forthcoming works in her house with considerable trepidation. My brother and I were concerned that the experience of having a number of workmen in her house over a period of several days would be very trying for her.
We need not have worried. We would like you to be aware that all your staff showed her the utmost care and consideration. They were unfailingly friendly and courteous. They treated her house and contents with care, and took pains to keep disruption and inconvenience to a minimum. They were punctual and hard-working and, when problems arose, only too willing to be flexible in achieving satisfactory solutions. The quality of their work was first class and we are all very pleased with the final results.
We would be grateful if you would pass on our thanks to the members of your staff who were involved in this work. They amply fulfilled the promises and aspirations set out in your company’s contract to clients and are assets to your operation.
Yours faithfully
